Event Coordinator at Canterbury Stables

We are seeking a detail-oriented and dynamic Event Coordinator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for hospitality and a strong background in event planning and management. This role involves overseeing all aspects of event execution, from initial concept through to completion, ensuring that each event is memorable and meets the client’s expectations.

Duties

  • Plan, coordinate, and execute various events including corporate functions, weddings, and social gatherings.
  • Collaborate with clients to understand their vision, objectives, and budget for each event.
  • Manage event logistics such as venue selection, catering, transportation, and entertainment.
  • Negotiate contracts with vendors and suppliers to secure the best services at competitive rates.
  • Develop and manage budgets for each event to ensure financial objectives are met.
  • Coordinate marketing efforts to promote events effectively through various channels.
  • Maintain strong relationships with clients, vendors, and venues to ensure smooth operations.
  • Oversee on-site event management to ensure everything runs according to plan.
  • Evaluate the success of events post-completion and gather feedback for future improvements.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in event planning or management within the hospitality or restaurant industry is preferred.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Excellent negotiation skills to secure favorable terms with vendors and suppliers.
  • Knowledge of budgeting principles related to events management.
  • Familiarity with event marketing strategies to effectively promote events.
  • Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written, for client interactions and team collaboration.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends as needed for events.
  • A proactive approach with strong problem-solving abilities in high-pressure situations.

Pay: $60,000.00 – $70,000.00 per year
