The Building Process

The journey to homeownership can sometimes be overwhelming. We guide our customers every step of the way to simplify the process of building their new home. Our efficient building process creates savings for home owners, and typically has your new home completed in 120 days. From pre-construction meetings to warranty follow-up after closing, learn what to expect when building a new home with our Building Process.

Pre-Construction/Design Meeting 

During this meeting, you are introduced to the options you have before the construction of your home begins. The meeting includes an overview of our commitment to building a quality home. Sales, Construction, and Warranty are explained while answering questions. You will also review the Selection Sheet Documentation and a Construction Checklist.

Quality Assurance Inspection Walkthrough

Our Quality Assurance Representative will walk through your home with a comprehensive checklist to verify our high attention to detail, the functionality and construction of your home. You will also be provided with a detailed demonstration of your home systems, review the McAdams Homes warranty manual, and discuss other useful information. We will escort you through your new home and help verify any minor or major issues identified.


Your Real Estate Agent will contact you about the closing process, your orientation, and any other issues. If the information given to you isn’t clear or complete, feel free to reach out to us or the selling agent.

1 Year Follow-Up 

As the 1st anniversary of your home approaches, you should email our Warranty Department to schedule a visit with a Warranty Representative to review and discuss any issues with your home. This is an ideal time to submit a list of any warranty concerns. If any issues are found and are covered under warranty, they will be repaired or completed in the following weeks.
